Welcome to the August '24 edition! An unforgettable week of Bachata Sensual with top dancers from all over the world. From 26 to 31 August 2024.

The Sensual Week experience

We are pleased to announce this special 10th anniversary edition of Sensual Week in Cádiz! You can look forward to one week of quality dance training in small groups in the city where Bachata Sensual was created, right in the historical centre, and just steps away from La Caleta, Cádiz's famous beach.

Every track consists of 10 hours of Bachata Sensual workshops; a show team track and various styling tracks will also be available. Workshops will be held at Hotel Parador de Cádiz and every evening, there will be unforgettable parties with the best DJs in different venues.

Workshop schedule

The workshops will be in hotel Parador de Cádiz: in order to ensure a quality event, a limited number of participants are allowed per track. There will be bus transportation to and from the parties. More details will be provided in due course.

Location

Just like last year, classes will be held in the beautiful Hotel Parador de Cádiz in the historical centre, and parties will take place in prime locations around Cádiz.

We recommend looking for accommodation in the historical centre: there are plenty of hotels available, and everything is within walking distance.

Organisers

This unique festival is brought to you by Judith & Korke from Spain, and Yenny & Andreas from the UK.

Over the last decade, they have carefully finetuned the festival's formula to provide all participants with a quality dance event that is unique in the world.

The application process

You apply by filling out a form and submitting a video of yourself dancing a Bachata Sensual improvisation with a partner.

Things to keep in mind:

  • make sure your video is at least 60 seconds long
  • it should be an improvisation with leading and following, not a choreography
  • we only accept links from YouTube, Instagram, Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox
  • make sure the video is publicly accessible and does not expire
  • we don’t accept videos with Sensual Week teachers

Note that applications for 2024 are now closed.

Sensual Week teachers will evaluate your application, and in April / May, you will be contacted by email with a link to purchase a pass for the track that we think is best suited for you to grow as a dancer. You will get the option to choose a track either in the August edition or in the July edition, as long as there is availability. Passes typically sell out fast, so make sure to purchase your pass right away when we contact you.
